REBT pioneered modern day CBT therapies, it does however differ from CBT and is still a very relevant and useful therapy.

 

Using empirical evidence to question negative perspectives, addressing unhealthy, self-sabotaging thinking and emotions.  REBT offers a very pragmatic set of tools to dispute dysfunctional beliefs and build a more rational approach to situations.
